PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian walking on the onramp was struck by a SUV and seriously injured Thursday night on Highway 138 onramp to southbound Interstate 15, authorities said.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident of a vehicle versus a pedestrian that was reported about 7:45pm on Thursday September 22, 2022. According from the CHP traffic log the pedestrian for unknown reasons was walking in the onramp to southbound I-15. Seconds later the pedestrian was hit by a red Ford Escape that did stop at the scene.
The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton with serious injuries, stated on the CHP traffic log. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland San Bernardino Office. Anyone witness or have information regarding the incident is asked to call CHP at (909) 806-2400. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
