VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Drivers going over the speed limit were pulled over on National Trails Highway on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers spent the day patrolling on National Trails Highway Route 66 from the city of Victorville to Helendale. Within only a few hours they made 24 speeding citations and one vehicle was impound.

The Victorville CHP said “It’s not a racetrack.” They want to remind everyone to slow down and Drive to Arrive.

The Pain In The Pass says just slowing down, driving the speed limits equal to saving lives. Give yourself time, prepare ahead of time. Arrive early. There are too many speed demons and tailgaters up here in the high desert.
