DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters quickly took control of a small brush fire that broke out on the shoulder of Interstate 15/215 connecter Saturday afternoon.
This fire was reported at about 3pm Saturday, February 18, 2023. The location of the fire was on the shoulder of Interstate 215 and between I-15 truck bypass lanes. San Bernardino County Fire Department and Cal Fire firefighters were quickly on scene.
Fire crews were able to stop the forward progress at roughly 15 minutes and contained in 40 minutes. The freeway was never affected by the flame or the smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A witness stated they saw a white sedan, possibly a Dodge Neon parked on the shoulder, then left the location right before the fire started.
