HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was taken to a local hospital after a solo vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on northbound Interstate 15 in Hesperia.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving a pickup truck about 2:32pm Thursday April 13, 2023. The collision was located on northbound Interstate 15 about a ½ mile before the Bear Valley Road exit.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the silver Chevrolet Silverado truck pick up lost control, hitting the ditch next to the right side of the freeway. Then crashed into the chain link fence and hit at least one RV trailer and damaged about three more at Affordable RV. The truck landed back into the ditch with major front-end damage. The driver reportedly missed hitting the power pole by about three feet of so.
The truck was the only one involved in the crash from the CHP traffic log. One person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
