HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An overturned big rig carrying a full load of bags of cement late Sunday night into the Monday morning commute, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Cynthia Ruiz.)

The crash was reported at about 11:24pm July 16, 2023 on southbound Interstate 15 just before the Main Street exit. The semi tractor-trailer was full of heavy bags cement all over inside the trailer. The semi overturned and was blocking the #2, and #3 traffic lanes for hours.

For reasons still under investigation, the semi driver veered off the right shoulder of the freeway into the drainage ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The middle and slow lane was blocked for over 10 hours. with traffic backed up for miles.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
