California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the two right lanes while they worked on getting the semi fire put out.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about a half of a hour. Everybody did escape the semi before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The official cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time. The semi trailer was intact with no fire damage.
