HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An early morning crash involving four vehicles on the northbound side of Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The accident happen Thursday morning, September 14, 2023, at 2:35am underneath the Joshua Street bridge.

The vehicles involved were a black or brown Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a gray Ford F-250 pickup truck, a black Honda Civic sedan and a black Toyota Corolla sedan. The Toyota had major damage to the front and the rear. The Honda had major front end damage. Each truck had damage to there vehicle.

During the collision drivers made impact with multiple crash attenuators (sand barrels). Several barrels were damaged sending sand and debris across all the traffic lanes.

Traffic was stopped for about 30 minutes while workers removed the damaged barrels and debris from the traffic lanes. A street sweeper also assisted with clearing the sand from the freeway.

CHP open the slow lane about 3:10pm and had the #1 and #2 lanes blocked until the tow trucks removed the two sedans out of the lanes.

Traffic was backed up for about four miles for the morning commute.

No injuries were reported in this incident.
