BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A person was killed while walking across southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near the town of Baker late Tuesday night.
The incident happened at about 11:03pm October 10, 2023 on southbound Interstate 15 about nine miles from the town of Baker. When CHP arrived on the scene, they found a pedestrian that was hit and was unresponsive on the roadway. When CPR efforts on scene failed, shortly after they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The motorist in the white Toyota involved in the incident remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators. This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call (760) 255-5900.
