The car fire was reported about 10:07pm Saturday, October 28, 2023 with the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were on scene to put out the fire on a Chevrolet Suburban just after the Ranchero Road exit.
CHP and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. It was reported flames were under the engine compartment, before the whole vehicle caught fire. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
