The crash was reported about 5:46am on November 15, 2023 The driver veered off the roadway on northbound I-15 about a mile after Harvard Road exit. The semi overturned at least one time scattering the cargo of wine bottles across the open desert, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP and Caltrans had the slow lane blocked for about 12 hours, as they cleanup the hazmat spill of 10 gallons of oil and 68 gallons of diesel. Also they needed to off loaded 43,000 pounds of wine bottles.

The driver was treated for minor injuries and no other injuries were reported.
