In honor of Engineer Shepard, a formal procession took place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. His body was transported from the Riverside County Medical Examiner’s Office to the city of Apple Valley via Interstate 15.
Just before 1pm, the body of Shepard was transported to the United in Christ Baptist Church of Apple Valley on Nomwaket Road.
Jared Shepard died Sunday morning from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.
Statement from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District said, It is with heavy hearts that the we shares the loss of a member of our family. Engineer Jared Shepard passed away this morning due to injuries sustained in an off-duty motorcycle accident that occurred in Lake Elsinore, California.
We ask that you join us in keeping Jared’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Funeral plans have not been release at this time.
He served with Apple Valley Fire since 2017, and before that with the Fort Irwin Fire Department, according to news report.
