California Highway Patrol reports a semi truck was on fire on the side of the 15 freeway at around 2:49pm on December 8, 2023, about 2 miles south of Cleghorn Road exit.

Officials say the flames had spread to the vegetation on the hillside and was quickly contained.

Everybody escaped the semi before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.

It looked like the semi was hauling paper or carboard product which was not described in the CHP Traffic Log.
