AFTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person were transported Sunday morning via helicopter, after their pickup truck rolled over on Interstate 15 according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
The crash happened at 11:35am on December 10, 2023, on northbound I-15 Freeway near Afton Road exit, the California Highway Patrol said.
A white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck lost control went to the right shoulder and rolled over multiple times. The truck went down the embankment about 25 feet in the dirt on the right shoulder of the freeway by the first arriving CHP officers, they rendered aid to the people involved in the incident. Rescue crews requested a medical helicopter to transport one with unknown injuries.
One person was transported from the scene by Mercy Air #66 helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The driver of the pickup truck was reported to be speeding and driving reckless prior to the crash and it’s a solo vehicle rollover crash.
