HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi pulling a set of a double-tanker trailers plowed into several sand barrels on the 15 Freeway in Hesperia, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said Wednesday morning. (Photo above is credit by Sam Witwicky)
The semi was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near Highway 395/Joshua Street exit around 5am December 20, 2023. This is when the driver collided with the yellow sand barrels, according to traffic logs.
Sand was everywhere in the fast lane and the #2 lane. The semi eventually landed in the two right lanes and became disabled.
Officials have not yet released details on the crash, but photos sent to Pain In The Pass Facebook Group show the wreckage where the truck appeared to hit the barrels.
The driver may have falling asleep and no injuries were reported at the scene.
