Car Catches Fire on I-15 near Barstow late Saturday Morning

BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car fire on Interstate 15 southbound near Wild Wash Road temporarily closed the right lane of traffic Sunday morning.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire on southbound I-15 just Wild Wash Road exit. The car fire was reported about 11:22am on February 3, 2024, with flames coming from the engine compartment.

Firefighters had to temporary shut down the slow lane to extinguish the flames.

The vehicle was reported to be a red Hyundai sedan. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
