The fire was reported around 7:32pm Saturday February 10, 2024. California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a white semi tractor on fire. The vehicle was located at the Duncan Canyon Road exit in the slow lane.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down all lanes while they worked on getting the semi fire put out.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about 15 minutes. Everybody did escape the semi before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The official cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time. Flames did start from the engine compartment.
