VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Highway Patrol said the pedestrian was hit while walking on an portion of the northbound lane of Interstate 15 Thursday morning.
The deadly crash occurred on the northbound I-15 Freeway at the Roy Rogers Drive offramp about 2:36am on Thursday February 22, 2024, according to the CHP traffic log.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gray Kia Stinger sedan hit the pedestrian and called 911. The driver did remain on and near the scene for questioning.
Rescuers tried performed CPR on the pedestrian at the scene, but sadly died shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile, the offramp was closed to conduct an investigation into the pedestrian accident.
This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
