HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol said an alleged drunk driver was uninjured when he crashed into a ditch on northbound Interstate 15 late Sunday morning. (Photo above is credit by Brian Rodriguez)

The collision occurred about 10:54am on Sunday April 7, 2024. The crash location was about a mile after the Main Street exit on northbound I-15. CHP and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the crash scene.

The solo vehicle involved in the crash was a white Scion xB a compact box car.

The Scion was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle, swerved into the right shoulder of the freeway. The shoulder is small due to repaving all of the traffic lanes. The driver hit the ditch and it caused the vehicle to overturned and hit the fence.

He was able to did out of the vehicle with some help, witness that stop to render aid. He was spilling and tossing mini bottles of vodka out of his pocket.

CHP officers said when they arrived to find Scion in the ditch, and the driver, smelled like booze. After a roadside investigation. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
