HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was flown to a hospital Monday morning after being ejected from a SUV in a single-vehicle rollover. (Photo above is credit by Kelley Conboy)

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of a rollover crash with the driver been ejected. The crash was reported to be on Highway 138 near Summit Post Office Road. The collision happened at about 6:28am Monday, April 15, 2024.

When first responders arrived at the scene and seen the driver laying on the ground near the vehicle. The vehicle was reported to be a black GMC Yukon.

People reported seeing the GMC traveling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 138 before losing control, rolling over multiple times, then landing on its side.

The driver was airlifted by Mercy Air 22 to Antelope Valley Medical Center in critical condition.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time of the story. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
