ORO GRANDE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County firefighters are working to contain a brush fire Sunday night west of National Trails Highway Route 66 that has scorched over 25 acres. (Photo above is credit by Sarah N. Dayton)
Firefighters from multiple agencies were called to an area north of Mill Street west of National Trails Hwy for reports of grass and brush on fire at around 6:18 pm San Bernardino County Fire officials said the fire has burned approximately 25 acres has of 7:45pm. There are multiple structures were under threat, San Bernardino County Fire Public Information Officer said.
The fire called the National Fire being push by moderate winds for potential for 50 acres plus.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
San Bernardino County firefighters were busy Saturday and Sunday responding to multiple brush fires in the area.

Update at 9pm the fire has reportedly updated with FIRIS Intel 24 mapping at 22 acres with 0% containment at this time.
Update 2, At least two structures are damaged or destroyed.
Update 3, 2pm Monday the flames have woken up due to the afternoon winds. The fire has jump to 42 acres and 5% contain.
Update 4, 10am Tuesday the fire burned 52 acres. Containment is up to 25% After a brief flare up yesterday afternoon, the fire experienced minimal growth overnight. Crews remain engaged to extend and improve containment lines. Road closure and evacs remain in place without change.
Update 5, 8pm Tuesday The fire is still at 52 acres and the Containment up to 85%. Fire experienced no growth today. Crews to remain on scene overnight. All evacuations lift – National Trails Hwy is reopen.
