CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting the public that construction will be taking place. Contractors will perform night work at various locations in San Bernardino County, along Interstate 15 (I-15). In the proximity of Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and San Bernardino, extending from Baseline Avenue to 0.9 miles north of Route 138. Weather permitting.
Nighttime work will occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday to Friday. Work performed will end the following morning at 5 am and resume at 8 pm with the following closures listed below. The work consists of improving highway worker safety byimplementing vegetation control, rock blanket installation, stamped concrete in areasbeyond the gore, and signpost sleeves, at various locations. Closures will vary from 1 lane to 4 lanes during the night. Please note, various lane, connector and ramp closures will occur in the project zone. All work is dependent on contractor receiving proper materials for each job function. It can be changed or canceled at any time. The following are planned work locations below and they will not be in the same each day:
