California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and Clark County firefighters were getting calls of a semi trailer on fire just before 8:13pm, Friday night on June 14, 2024. The semi stop on the right shoulder of the freeway just after Yates Road about 5 miles before Stateline/Primm Nevada.

According to the CHP traffic logs, it was stated fire was coming from the cab area of the fuel tank, then quickly catch the trailer on fire. It was unknown what was the semi hauling.

The cause of the semi fire is unknown at this time.

No injuries were reported.

The slow lane was blocked for hours and into Saturday morning.
