HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An overturned big rig carrying a full load of juice bottles Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (Photo above is credit by Scott T.
The crash was reported at about 3:23am July 15, 2024, on northbound Interstate 15 just after the Main Street exit. The semi tractor-trailer was reported to be full of cases of bottles containing some kind of juice product.
For reasons still under investigation, the semi driver veered off the right shoulder of the freeway, then swerve and the trailer hit the drainage ditch. This caused both the cab and the trailer to overturned.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The slow lane and the middle lane were blocked for hours to off load the cases of bottle and to upright the semi tractor-trailer. Traffic was backed up all the way to Oak Hill Road at one point.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
