HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multiple-vehicle collision was reported on northbound Interstate 15 involving seven to eight vehicles, with at least one injury confirmed.
The accident occurred on northbound I-15 just after the Main Street exit at about 1:47pm, Monday, September 2, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the initial crash occurred between a burgundy Kia Sportage SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz SUV, resulting a white Kia Forte sedan to ultimately land between two vehicles and the center divider k-rail. The accident blocked the two left lanes. The other vehicles involved were identified as a gray Ford Ranger pickup truck, a white Nissan Altima sedan, a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, and what looks to be a silver Mazda sedan.
Emergency services, including the fire department and a couple of ambulances, were called to the scene. It was determined an injury had occurred, and at least four tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles involved in the accident.
One injury occurred, looked to be minor, and the person was transported to a local hospital. Everyone was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel, but no one else was taken to a hospital.
It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the incident, or if anyone was cited. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
