Emergency units responded to the accident about 2:17am Friday September 13, 2024. The two left lanes and parts of the slow lane were blocked. Two of the three vehicles were reported to be sideway and blackout.

When first responders arrived, they said one male adult was laying on the right shoulder from one of the vehicles. The male was reported to laying on the right shoulder, conscious and breathing.

Victorville Fire Department requested a medical helicopter to land on the freeway. Rescue crew planned to shut down southbound lanes, so the helicopter could land. Due to unknown circumstances no helicopter accepted the request due to unknown circumstances.

First responders were able to take all the patients to a hospital by ground instead, and so the helicopter as called off. There extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.

It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the incident. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
