BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A single-vehicle rollove crash claimed the life of a woman early Saturday morning.

California Highway Patrol reported the crash happened Saturday, October 26, 2024 about 1:43am on the Interstate 15 about two miles after Zzyzx Road exit.

According to the preliminary fatal crash report, she was northbound when she lost control, ran off the roadway, and rolled over into a ditch. The vehicle went about 50 feet off the roadway.

When rescue crews arrived, they couldn’t locate the driver of the vehicle. The woman was ejected from the vehicle. When the rescue crews found her, they pronounced her deceased at the scene. CHP said, she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
