HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multiple-vehicle collision was reported on southbound Interstate 15 involving five vehicles, with at least one injury confirmed. (Photo above is credit by Myrta C. Roses)
The accident occurred on southbound I-15 just after the Main Street exit at about 12:39pm, Saturday, November 9, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the initial crash occurred between a white Tesla Model 3 with minor damage, and a blue Bronco Sport SUV with minor damage. Resulting the third vehicle a gray Kia Sportage SUV to crash into the Ford Bronco, ending with damage to both front and rear end. The other two vehicles were a silver Mercedes-Benz GL. SUV with major front and rear end damage and a black Ford Flex SUV with front end damage. The collision blocked the left lane from about a hour and a half.
Emergency services, including the fire department and a couple of ambulances, were called to the scene. It was determined an injury had occurred, and at least three tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles involved in the collision.
One injury that occurred, looked to be minor, and that person was transported to a local hospital. Everyone was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel, but no one else was taken to a hospital.
It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the incident, or if anyone was cited. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
