VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) > A semi-truck drove off Interstate 15 freeway near Main Street exit in Thursday morning, according to California Highway Patrol Traffic Log.

Around 1:30am on December 5, 2024, about a mile before the Main Street exit on southbound I-15. The truck driver was driving in the ‘slow’ lane, when he lost control and overcorrected, and swerved into the ditch on the right shoulder of the freeway. At freeway speed truck driver’s big rig rolled over into the ditch, crushing the side of the trailer.

As a result of the accident, the two-right lane of southbound I-15 was closed to allow crews to work on the semi-truck and to off load the content in the trailer.

The semi tractor-trailer was removed and lanes were reopened at 10am.

It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the crash. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
