Sunday morning April 13, 2025, your Victorville Area CHP officers were dispatched to a call of a reckless and possibly DUI driver.  While officers were responding, the driver of the black Audi sedan decided to reverse at the gore point on the Oak Hill Road onramp. CHP said, was the right place to stop and check on his bumper that he was dragging.

Officer Hudock was able to get the driver to a safe place and promptly noticed signs of intoxication. The driver was arrested and booked for DUI while his car was towed away to a safer parking spot at the impound yard.

There are DUI drivers at all times of day. If you see someone you think is impaired, call 9-1-1. Our officers take reports of drunk drivers seriously.

If you are celebrating this weekend watching the Masters, Baseball, or whatever, always designate a sober driver and don’t get behind the wheel. Remember driver sober or get pulled over CHP says.
