BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi tractor-trailer caught fire on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near the town of Baker Saturday morning according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened on southbound I-15 about 4:21am on Saturday May 10, 2025, about 10 miles before the town of Baker. The semi was carrying an unknown product not listed on the traffic log.

This is when the driver noticed the semi was on fire smoking. The driver stopped on the shoulder on the freeway.

California Highway Patrol were on scene and blocked the southbound lanes. CHP receive aid from firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported. The trailer was a total lost.
