The incident was reported at about 10:10pm on May 9, 2025, on northbound Interstate 15 at the Roy Rogers Dr. exit.

Officials said a Chevrolet pickup truck was towing a SUV on a trailer and became detached from the trailer. The SUV overturned blocking the slow lane.

A witness stated on the CHP traffic log the truck began swaying side to side before the SUV overturned in the roadway.

The slow lane and the offramp was closed for the SUV that required a tow truck to remove from the freeway, and have since been removed from the scene.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
