MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Aluminum cans were littered across southbound Interstate 15 near the Mountain Pass Joint Port of Entry Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility on Monday.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire and Rescue Crews said the crash occurred on the northbound I-15 lanes around 5:10pm June 16, 2025. The driver of the semi tractor-trailer lost control rolled over in the center divider and spilled pallets of cans across all three lanes on the southbound side.
As a result, thousands of the aluminum cans were scattered across the freeway, forcing authorities to shut down the lanes in the area to clear the debris.
One person was taken to a hospital as a result.
