BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An elderly man who was found unresponsive inside his BMW sedan on northbound Interstate 15 Monday afternoon has died, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to northbound 15 freeway just after Razor Road partly in the fast lane and center divider around 4:15pm July 14, 2025 for a report of a man passed out inside of a gray BMW 5 Series 535i sedan.
From reports that they had tried to wake the man up by banging on the windows, but he was unresponsive.
EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the man, deceased at the scene.
CHP said the man’s death is not considered suspicious.
The weather was extremely hot in the area.
The investigation is active and ongoing by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
