PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department battled a fire that burned about 10 acres of vegetation in Phelan Saturday night.
The fire was reported around 9pm Saturday July 26, 2025 near the intersection of Smith Road and Nelson Rd, according to the SBFD. The took off fast with the help of gusty winds and a moderate rate of spread with structure threatened.
Firefighters stopped the forward rate of spread around 10:40pm with about 10 acres burned.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Firefighters predicted being on scene for mop-up for approximately an hour.
