HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) A car fire temporarily shut down traffic on Interstate 15 near the Main Street exit Saturday afternoon, causing minor delay.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were getting calls of a vehicle on fire, on northbound Interstate 15 right shoulder just the Main Street exit. The white Toyota Yaris was reported about 3:16pm Saturday September 6, 2025, with flames coming from the engine compartment.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene to work on getting the vehicle fire put out. They had to temporary shutdown the slow lane.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
