MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 15 near Stateline, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP’s incident report stated the crash happened on September 18, 2025, about 3:06pm on Northbound I-15 about a mile after Nipton Road exit.
Per the CHP traffic log report, said a red SUV, a dark blue Honda, Ford unknown vehicle rolled over multiple times, and a white pickup truck were involved in the crash.
The CHP confirmed that the incident was a fatality; multiple people were taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Pain In The Pass learned the CHP is looking into reports that the roadway was wet prior to the crash.
Due to the investigation, the CHP closed the #1 and the #2 lanes.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
