Vehicle Catches Fire on I-15 Causing Lanes to be Shut Down in the Cajon Pass Sunday Night

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A charred vehicle on the 15 Freeway caused a traffic backup in the Cajon Pass late Sunday night.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire were getting calls of a car fire about 11:35pm on November 2, 2025. The car fire was on northbound I-15 in the center divider just after Highway 138 exit.

The car was reportedly fully involved, before responders arrived. Upon arrival crews work extinguishing the flames and need all northbound lanes to be blocked.

Everybody inside were able to get out, and no one was injured.

The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
