PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> No injuries were reported after a vehicle caught fire just off of Highway 138 Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire said they received calls of a vehicle fire that happened on Hwy 138 at Lebec Road. The fire was reported around 11:48pm on November 9, 2025, of a dark colored Jeep Cherokee SUV fire on the right shoulder of the highway.
Flames were coming from the engine compartment.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before catching fire.
Crews managed to control the blaze before the flames hit nearby brush.
There has been no word on any injuries.
