HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> At least one person was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision on Summit Valley Road after an unknown white SUV swerved in the path of two drivers.
The California Highway Patrol said just after 4:30pm on November 18, 2025. Officers and San Bernardino County Fire were sent to the intersection of Summit Valley Road and Cataba Rd of a crash involving at least two vehicles.
The preliminary investigation revealed on the CHP traffic log, an older white SUV was traveling on Summit Valley Rd and that driver made the driver of a black Nissan Armada SUV to swerve. The driver of the Nissan, was unable to avoid, losing control and went into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Nissan made heavy front-end contact with a dark gray Honda Accord sedan.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office was summoned to the scene just before 5pm.
The white SUV reportedly didn’t stop and was last seen traveling westbound Highway 138 from Summit Valley.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
