BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A California Highway Patrol officer safely stopped a wrong-way driver traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 Monday night, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 8pm on November 17, 2025, when officers from the CHP were dispatched to reports of a vehicle driving the wrong direction near Highway 247 in the city of Barstow.
According to the CHP traffic logs, witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a small, dark sedan traveling in the fast lane/center divider going about 70mph.
Multiple CHP units responded and to organization a traffic break south of Lenwood Ro
No injuries or collisions were reported with this incident.
The cause of the wrong-way driving and the condition of the driver were not immediately disclosed at this time.
