SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man injured when he was hit by a car on the shoulder of Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the call of a pedestrian versus a vehicle collision around 12:23pm December 20, 2025 on northbound I-215 Freeway just after Mill Street exit.
“It appears a black Honda Civic sedan traveling northbound on Interstate I-215 ran out of gas and stopped on the right shoulder,” stated on the CHP traffic log.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of the silver Cadillac CTS lost control, veered off the right side of the freeway and struck the Honda in the rear-end, with the victim standing outside of vehicle.
San Bernardino County Fire and CHP arrived and found a man lying on the ground in the slow lane next to a gas can.
Authorities said the victim/pedestrian of the Honda was taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
