Pickup Truck Catches Fire in the Cajon Pass Sunday Morning

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver escaped without injury from his burning pickup Sunday morning in the Cajon Pass.

San Bernardino County Fire Department said first responders were called around 8:26am December 28, 2025, to a reported vehicle fire in the area of northbound Interstate 15 near the Cleghorn Road exit.

Upon arrival, units found a red and gray GMC pickup truck on the right shoulder of the freeway fully engulfed.

The driver did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
