Winds maybe to Blamed for Blown-Over Semi Tractor-Trailer Thursday Night

FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Strong winds maybe to blamed for this blown-over semi, Thursday night on Interstate 15.

According to Southern California Weather Force Meteorologist, Thursday night was the first day for the strong Santa Ana winds across the Inland Empire foothills, San Bernardino Mountains, and parts of the Cajon Pass Interstate 15 corridor.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi tractor-trailer tipped over in the southbound lanes of I-15, near the Sierra Avenue exit. Calls were coming out just around 8:36pm on January 8, 2026.

The semi was moved to allow traffic by with help with a heavy-duty tow truck and underway to recover the semi.

No injuries were reported.
