SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian was hit and killed trying to run across lanes of the 215 Freeway Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the first call of a pedestrian walking in and around the northbound 215 traffic lanes around 7:14pm on February 2, 2026, just before the Mill Street exit.
CHP was conducting a traffic break on the northbound lanes, that’s when the pedestrian ran across lane and jumped the center divider.
That’s when the driver of a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling in the southbound lane hit the pedestrian.
The unresponsive person lying partly in the carpool lane and the fast lane of southbound 215 Freeway.
No further information, including the pedestrian’s identity, has been released at this time.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Inland Office.
