HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Icy roads with multiple crashes shut down portions of Highway 138 through the Cajon Pass early Saturday morning, forcing travelers to be detoured as the temperature dropped.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to several collisions on Hwy 138 and on Hwy 173 on the Hesperia side shortly before 6am.
No injuries were reported in all the collisions.
Officials urge motorists to avoid mountain travel if possible, slow down and allow extra travel time.
