NIPTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Officials have identified the 45-year-old man found in an abandoned vehicle parked on southbound Interstate 15 last week.
Around 11:30am on February 13, 2026, the California Highway Patrol said they stop and checked on an abandoned vehicle parked on the Cima Road offramp of southbound I-15.
Brian Martin, a 45-year-old resident of St. Louis Missouri was found in the vehicle. Stated on the CHP traffic log said, the investigated an apparent death by suicide.
No new information or the circumstances surrounding the death have been released.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
