HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fire broke out near Marriposa Road that involved a large pile of debris, prompting a swift response from the San Bernardino County Fire Department Thursday night.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire, dispatch received a call at around 7:04pm March 26, 2026 of a fire. The fire was near Sultana Street between Marriposa Road and Escondido Avenue in the City of Hesperia.
The SBCFD said, with help from a dozer, they were able to spread the pile out. They know the pile of debris can withhold heat; crews had to dumped a lot of water onto the pile in an effort to fully extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.
No structures were threatened and the fire was doused about 8:41pm.
