DETROIT, MI. (Pain In The Pass) >> Kia America Inc. is recalling about 141,032 vehicles, according to a notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Kia vehicles may leak fuel due to a faulty pipe connection between the fuel pipe and fuel rail, increasing the risk of a fire.
The recall includes 2022 through 2026 model year Kia Carnival vehicles manufactured between Jan. 4, 2021 and Nov. 20, 2025.
Kia will begin notifying owners via mail by June 2, 2026, instructing owners to bring their recalled vehicles to an authorized Kia dealer.
Dealers will check for a fuel leak in the high-pressure cross over pipe. If there is a leak, they will replace the pipe with a new one. If there is not a leak, dealers will securely fasten the high-pressure cross over pipe nuts.
Kia says it will reimburse owners for any repair expenses according to Kia’s General Reimbursement Plan filed May 1, 2024.
Although manufacturers can make every effort to notify affected customers about recalls, it’s not always possible. So, if you want to check if your car has an active recall, sometimes you need to do it yourself. Checking for a new or old recalls on your vehicle is easier than you think.
