HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A single-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 15 in Hesperia. The crash sent one person to the hospital Saturday night and caused traffic disruptions for hours.
California Highway Patrol says emergency crews were called about 7:38pm April 18, 2026, to a silver sedan unknown make or model, that lost control and hit the guardrail on northbound I-15 about a mile before the Bear Valley Road exit.
According to the CHP traffic log, the car struck the guardrails after losing control and took out about 50 to 70 feet of guardrail. All airbags in the vehicle deployed during the collision.
There was only one person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver was transported to a local hospital for assessment and treatment with unknown injuries.
The slow lane was closed from the cleanup and the removal of the car from the freeway.
A heavy-duty tow truck had to use specialized equipment to lift the car away from the guardrail.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision. The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.
The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
