HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multiple vehicle traffic crash temporarily shut down all northbound lanes of the Interstate 15 just before the Bear Valley Road exit Saturday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported approximately at 3:43pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
It was reported to be a multiple vehicle crash with at least 5 vehicles involved from the CHP traffic log stated.
Two vehicles had major damage was a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck blocking the fast lane and a tan Chevrolet Tahoe SUV blocking the slow lane after spun out with damage.
San Bernardino County Fire requested at least three ambulances to the scene.
Two people from the black pickup were injured, one individual who complained of chest pain and another who was described as being in significant pain stated on the traffic log. Both were transported to a local hospital.
The freeway was reopened at 4:46pm after crews cleared the crash scene. Traffic was backup all the was before the Ranchero Road exit.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
